In addition to the above policies, we encourage our pupils to have respect for our nation, the school as well as personal and school property.
Respect for our Nation and School
- Pupils must sing the National Anthem and recite the Pledge. They must also know by heart the School Anthem
- Pupils must also learn by heart and must be able to recite the school vision and mission statement
- Pupils who are not citizens of Nigeria must stand at attention and remain silent whenever the National Anthem and Pledge are recited.
Respect for our Personal and School Property
At all times, pupils are to
- Treat each other with love and respect
- keep every part of the school clean and beautiful;
- conserve water and electricity;
- report any equipment fault to the relevant parties promptly;
- return all borrowed items to the appropriate parties promptly and in good condition;
- be responsible and accountable for safekeeping of their personal belongings. The school is not responsible for the loss of such items.
- Show respect to everyone at all times.
- Speak politely to everyone at all times.
- Avoid actions that hurt other people.
- Avoid shouting when they mean to talk.
- Move quietly in and out of the classrooms.
- Ask for something instead of taking it forcefully or secretly.
- Be friendly with one another.
- Keep the school clean.
- Handle all school property and equipment with care.
Attire & Grooming
- Pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform with the school tie without any modification when reporting for, attending and leaving school and school events.
- Pupils are to wear shoes that are predominantly Black with matching socks. Sandals or slippers are not allowed in school at all times unless approved by the School.
- Pupils are to wear PE attire only during those activities.
- Fingernails are to be kept clean and short without nail polish.
- Jewellery or fashion accessories including coloured ear sticks are not allowed. However, girls may wear ONE pair of small ear-studs. Inappropriate body art, such as tattoos, and piercing of any part of the body except the ears are not allowed.
- Hair must not be dyed, tinted, highlighted or outlandish.
- Hair accessories must be kept simple.
- Boys must keep their hair short and neat.
- Boys must not sport a moustache or beard.
Attendance and Punctuality
- Pupils are expected to be punctual in reporting for school, lessons, tests, examinations, and activities.
- Late coming is seriously frowned at except with prior permission of the Director of School.
- Perpetual latecomer risk being suspended or expelled from the School.
