School Curriculum

Aptitude School is built on solid foundation of four PILLARS of PUPILS, TEACHERS, ATTITUDE AND APTITUDE. Irrespective of the classes or grades, our sole aim is to infuse our culture into the pupils in the easiest way possible. Therefore, our curriculum is developed around Gradual Release of Responsibility Model (GRCC).

GRCC suggests that cognitive work should shift slowly and intentionally from teacher modelling – (I DO), to joint responsibility between teachers and pupils – (WE DO), to independent practice and application by the learner – (YOU DO).

Therefore, our curriculum process has fully adopted International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for Early Years Programme. IPC emphasises areas including Development of Reading & Writing, full math curriculum for up to 5 Year Old, Content Area Integration for Science, Social Studies, music, and others, Digital Learning, School Home Connection, and Professional Development.

The curriculum is designed to achieve developmental continuities in terms of children‘s physical, cognitive and psychosocial abilities. Our Early Years Curriculum is able to address the following interrelated domains of holistic development through a play and activity based approach which focuses on development of life skills.

Admission into Aptitude Model College is opened to science students only. As a result, the school authority has designed its curriculum to skew towards key science subjects with specific emphasis on English and Mathematics followed by Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and others.
